Boy dies in bomb blast, Maoists kill two cops
DAILEKH, NOV 27 - A fourteen-year-old boy died instantly when a socket bomb left behind by Maoists on a riverbank went off suddenly while he was playing with it out of curiosity.
According to district administration office, Dhan Bahadur Shahi of Salleri Village Development Committee-4 had found the bomb while fishing in Lohare River at Simbada area of the Narayan Municipality-8. Police are investigating into the incident.
Meanwhile, in Dolakha, a group of Maoist rebels shot dead two policemen on duty at Sat Dobato, a busy market area in the district headquarters of Charikot this afternoon.
Those killed in the shootout have been identified as head constable Tika Sapkota and constable Bharat Budhathoki. They were sipping tea in a teashop taking a short break from their duty when the rebels fired six round of bullets at them in front of a police station.
