PARBAT, NOV 26 - Hari Sarki of Shivalaya Village Development Committee ward No- 9 , has been able to make good income from buffalo rearing. It was very difficult for her to join hands and mouth together before the start of buffalo rearing.
She became able to buy a buffalo from the loan of Women Development Office, Parbat, which has started various income generation programmes in the Village Development Committees.
She has made remarkable income from milk. She had taken a loan of Rs. 15,000 five years ago and now she has paid the loan selling milk. She has also started pig farming for the last three years.
Sarki has been able to admit her son and daughter in a boarding school and there is no scarcity of basic needs in her home, it is stated. She is making an income of Rs. 20,000 to 30,000 per annum selling milk.
Sarki is not the only woman to have made income from the income generation programme launched by Women Development Office in the district.Posted on: 2003-11-25 09:41
