NFD continues protest
KATHMANDU, NOV 24 - National Federation of the Disabled (NFD), the apex bodies of the physically-challenged in the country, today demanded the government to withdraw the appointment of the chairman to the management committee of the Disabled Assistance Fund (DAF).
The government recently appointed a non-disabled person to the post, which has led the NFD to lock the DAF office since last Tuesday. The NFD has demanded the government to appoint a physically-challenged person for the post. "We will continue our protest until the government withdraws the appointment," said NFD chairman Munishowre Pandey in a statement here today.Posted on: 2003-11-23 09:27
