ILAM, NOV 21 - As the celebration day of the Antu Festival is coming close, people of Antudanda, a potential tourism destination of the district, are elated with festive mood. The locals have also made every effort to allure the visitors.
"Construction of all the infrastructures has already been completed. And we are busy for last hour preparation of the four-day festival," said Ek Raj Ghimire, Spokesperson of the Festival Organiser Committee.
Antudanda is a popular destination for both the international and domestic tourists wanting to have a glimpse of mountainous range, including Kanchanjangha. Ghimire added that the locals are making great efforts to make the festival a grand success.
Various programmes, including flower showering, agricultural exhibition, and other cultural programme will be organised during the festival to be held from 23 to 26 November.
The locals said, as there are no luxurious hotels to accommodate the tourists visiting Antudanda; they have lavishly decorated their houses for accommodating them.Posted on: 2003-11-20 10:11
