MAHOTTARI, NOV 19 - An armed group of bandits looted cash and valuables worth around Rs. 400,000 from 10 houses in Simardahi VDC-2 yesterday night. The bandits also injured two persons during the raid, according to police.
Around a dozen bandits started the looting from the house of Baiju Chaudhari around midnight.
They looted the houses of Ram Tapeshwor Chaudhari, Jhauli Safi, Rajeshwor Chaudhari, Dev Lal Safi, Ram Lochan Chaudhari, Sukha Chaudhari, Bhola Nadaf, Jaya Narayan Chaudhari and Kameshwor Chaudhari, one after another. The looting lasted for around an hour-and-a-half. Shambhu Chaudhari and Ram Tapeswor’s wife received severe injuries at the hands of the bandits.Posted on: 2003-11-18 09:34
