NOV 19 - I have read with great interest the news report on the conflict issue. ( News report: “Not force but international mediation need of hour,” November 17). Whereas I agree generally with your article based on the interview, I would strongly object about the passage the US policy in relation to the conflict in Nepal. I never qualified the US position as “belligerent”, but I simply stressed the need for talks (and if needed, supported by international mediation) and excluded any military support to either side.
