NOV 19 - It is kind of you to include the news of the demise of my brother-in-law Brigadier General Sagar Bahadur Pande (November 18). However, I would like to point out that Mrs Chhaya Devi Pande paid her last tributes to her eldest son at Shree Birendra Hospital and not the fifth son as you have mentioned. The fifth son (my husband) is very much amongst us, mourning the death of his eldest brother with the rest of the family. Perhaps, what you actually wanted to write was “ the eldest of five sons. “
You have to be very much careful when it comes to news writing. I suggest you to check grammar and spellings before the matter is sent for printing, keeping in mind that English is not our mother tongue.
