NA session

NOV 15 - The Supreme Court ruled out any possibility of holding the National Assembly. It said the composition of parliament remains incomplete without the house of representatives. (Separate National Assembly session not mandatory: SC, Nov 13)
Sitting Justice Khil Raj Regmi seems to be right in his own way. The justice concluded that the “National Assembly does not fall within judiciary consideration.” This indicates both the houses are dead now. This also shows how independent Nepali judiciary is. Speaker Taranath Ranabhat can resign from his post. There is no chance of reviving the parliament because any move that leads to the revival of house would weaken the 372 year-old monarchy, which the King does not like as he continues to remain strong.
