Military might

NOV 13 - Having been given autonomous penal rights, it is now left entirely up to the Royal Nepal Army (RNA), the self-proclaimed “legal security force working under civilian control,” to make sure no criminal escapes justice. (News report: “Innocent youth shot dead for brushing car against army bus,” November 7). Not only should RNA make public the complete and untampered results of the investigation which is claimed to be underway, but also learn not to breach law by random firing, unwarranted abductions and torturous interrogation, lest people find themselves identifying more easily with the insurgents.
