The Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha led by Rajiv Jha (JTMM-R), an armed outfit active in the Tarai, has ended negotiation with the government.
On Sunday, Jha told media persons at a press meet at Rajbiraj, Saptari district that all the agreements reached between JTMM-R and the government talks panel so far were officially over. He said that JTMM-R decided not to hold further talks with the government as it had failed to implement earlier commitments.
The front had held its fourth round of dialogue with the government on Nov. 21. The dialogue failed as Peace Minister Rakam Chemjong refused to release our cadre from custody as had been agreed earlier, Jha said.
