BHAKTAPUR, NOV 06 - Bhaktapur Brick Industry Entrepreneurs Association (BBIEA) has demanded with the concerned bodies to give them permission to resume the operation of the kiln for
at least a year and not to relocate it.
Earlier, Kharipati barrack of Royal Nepal Army (RNA) had directed as many as 28 brick kilns located within a radius of a kilometre from the barrack to immediately relocate them. The association has also written a letter to Pyar Jung Thapa, Chief of RNA requesting him to make necessary arrangements to allow them to operate the kiln.
Bishow Ram Kawa, president of the BBIEA claimed that they should be allowed to resume operation of the kiln as they have already invested a huge amount to run the kiln for a year. But we are ready
to relocate the kiln next year, he said.
