KATHMANDU, NOV 06 - Retired brigadier general of the Royal Nepalese Army and exUpper House member Dipta Prakash Shah said here today that the concept of unified command was constitutionally incorrect.
Shah, a royal nominee in the Upper House till last year further said militarisation could not be the part of the solution of the crises dogging the nation since the last several years.
Speaking at an interaction organised by Nepal Free Journalists’ Society in the capital, CPN-UML leader R K Mainali, however, welcomed the government concept saying that it was measure of the last resort. "Since it is mobilised under Local Administration Act, it is not militarisation."Posted on: 2003-11-05 08:38
