NAWALPARASI, OCT 31 - The two wards in Deurali Village Development Committees (VDCs) in this district have come under the grip of a strange unknown disease. Due to this mysterious malady which comes with symptoms such as, high fever, itching and rashes, and body ache more than 300 people in this VDC have been affected. Medication could not be conducted as this disease has not been identified as of yet. According to the information provided by Netra Bahadur Bayambu Magar, the outgoing chairman of this VDC, the intensity of this mysterious disease and its symptoms is found to be maximum in Girubari, and Belhani villages in ward-3 and 4 of this VDC respectively.
It is learnt that people of all ages including children, women, and the elderly have been afflicted by this menace. Though this disease is rampant in these two VDCs, patients with similar type of symptoms have been reported from all the villages in this VDC, conceded the locals there. To find a remedy for this disease which has been spreading in the area for the past two weeks the locals have been resorting to traditional forms of treatment such as, trying medicinal herbs and taking help from witch doctors.
