Singing sisters' Sashi

JUL 26 -

Shivani Chauhan, 9, and Sarbari Chauhan, 13, have proved that if one really puts his/her best then nothing is impossible. With that, both the sisters have recently finished recording their new album, entitled Sashi.
Students of DAV School, Jawalakhel Shivani and Sarbari are as good in studies as they are in singing. Both of them have been learning music since three years back. And after the years of dedication and sincerity they are officially releasing their album, on August 30 at Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap.
And to promote their hard work, different prominent people from Nepali music industry have shown their involvement. The lyrics of the album have been composed by eminent lyricists such as Dinesh Adhikary, Raman Ghimire, Krishna Hari Baral, Kiran Kharel, Mukunda Raj Sharma, Bir Singh, Ram Prasad Dhungel and Manjul. Likewise, the music coordination has been done by musicians Sachin Singh, Sambhujit Baskota, Raju Singh, Shila Bahadur Moktan, Laxman Sesh and Ram Bhandari.
Talking about the vocal abilities of the two, singer-cum-musician Ram Bhandari said, “Well their talents have made us trust in them. It's not that all the lyricists and musicians are being kind to them, it's rather they deserve it.” “Both of them are versatile, there is no doubt in it. They have already paved a long way career in music,” said lyricist-cum-poet Manjul.
According to Amita Chauhan, mother of Shivani and Sarbari, 25 percentage of the profit earned from their cassette will be donated to 'Bal Dhadkan,' an organization that has been working as a health post for children. The album has been recorded by Music Nepal Private Limited and Our Studio.Posted on: 2006-07-25 09:40
