The National Human Rights Commission and a team of women lawmakers have recommended action after finding the police personnel guilty of raping a female co-worker of the Achham DPO following a field study. The NHRC has claimed that the policewoman posted at Achham DPO was gang-raped by six of her colleagues on Sept. 27 and demanded sternest possible action as per the police regulation against the ones involved in the incident.
According to the victim's statement, she had said the policemen, including Sub-Inspector Dan Bahadur Singh Bhandari, constable Birendra Bom, gang-raped her on Sept. 27 after debasing meat with hashish.
Meanwhile, the cabinet has decided to liquidate the Hetauda Textile Factory and endorsed a directive concerning the proof of academic qualification of the civil servants.
