Dutch national dies in boat mishap

PARBAT, NOV 03 - A Dutch national has lost his life when a rafting boat capsized at Kaligandaki River on Tuesday afternoon, the police said.

The police identified the victim as Sabint Corppley, 32, of Netherlands.

The rafting boat, belonging to Nepal Company, had left from Maldhunga, Parbat and overturned at Banja Khet, Binamare-3, Baglung. Apparently Corppley’s helpmet got stuck in the boat leading to the mishap, according to police inspector Kedar Pant.

Five Nepali guides and eight Dutch tourists, who were rafting are unhurt.
