Four trucks looted in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, SEP 08 - An armed group looted four trucks at a jungle along the Chandranighapur-Paurai road section of the East-West Highway in Rautahat on Tuesday morning. The trucks were heading to the capital carrying bricks. The armed men had blockaded the highway at Eastern Lachka Kajwe of Judibela VDC. They looted Rs 50,000 cash and other goods from the truck drivers and conductors. Bijaya Lama, conductor of one of the trucks, has been injured when the looters assaulted him, according to the Chandranigahapur Area Police. He has been sent to Birgunj for treatment.
