During his meeting with the UML Chairman, the Chinese vice-president hoped for peace and stability in Nepal after the drafting of the constitution. He added that Chinese investment would further increase in Nepal once the country moved ahead on the path of development.
The meeting took place at the office of the Vice President in Beijing this morning. Talking to eKantipur, the UML Chairman said that the Chinese vice-president stressed on creating more amicable ties with the neighbouring India.
" China does not interfere on any country's internal matters. It will protest if there are dangers on Nepal's sovereignty," said Khanal quoting Vice-President Yuanchao.
The Chinese vice-president further expressed hope that the leaders in Nepal would draft the constitution on time and usher the nation towards economic prosperity.
Khanal's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping was not possible because of some technical reasons following which Khanal's entourage has left for home today. The UML chairman had embarked on China visit on May 6 leading a 19-member delegation.
