SAPTARI, NOV 06 - Motorcycles with Indian number plates have been banned in Saptari from Wednesday considering security during the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
The District Police Office said the motorcycles with Indian number plates have been banned till November 19 regarding the security concerns and possible criminal activities.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Singh Chaudhary said ban on Indian motorcycles can prevent the mobility of the criminal gangs entering Nepal through different check points during the CA elections.
Meanwhile, the police destroyed hooch collected from different parts of the district today.
As many as 500 litre liquor produced illegally was destroyed in the presence of news reporters.
