Nepali wins US $1m lottery in Qatar
KATHMANDU, APR 26 - A Nepali has won 1 million dollars (over Rs 87 millions) lottery prize in Doha International Airport in Qatar.
The Nepali national identified as Dilli Ram Parajuli won the million dollars raffle conducted by Qatar Duty Free.
Parajuli is the first Nepali to win the lottery through lucky draw.
Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free, Akbar Al Baker, picked the winning ticket on Thursday.
The price of the lottery was 950 Riyal.
The US Dollar Millionaire raffle was launched in May 2006 giving passengers a “great opportunity” to win the bumper prize as each draw is made after 5,000 tickets are sold.
Departing and transiting passengers at Doha International Airport have the option to purchase raffle tickets on site or online at Qatar Duty Free’s website www.qatarardutyfree.com.qa, providing them with more flexibility. The raffle is open to anyone worldwide who wishes to try their luck.
