KATHMANDU, JAN 17 -
Former international boxer and coach Kishor Kumar Thapa, who has been suffering from paralysis, received financial support from the Nepal Boxing Organization on Tuesday. Thapa received Rs 50,000 from the organization while the National Sports Council chipped in with Rs 16,858. The Makwanpur Boxing Organization also donated Rs 5000 to the ailing boxer. All the donations were presented to Ashika Thapa, daughter of Kishor Thapa, in a ceremony. Thapa is in need of surgery as quickly as possible given the fact that his kidneys are at a risk of failing. The boxer’s left side is fully paralyzed due to a brain hemorrhage.
