Deuba warns to oust govt through protest
RASUWA, JAN 01 -
Senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has warned to topple the incumbent Baburam Bhattarai-led government through protest if he refuses to step down .
Speaking at district assembly at Syafubesi in Rasuwa district on Monday evening, Deuba said there was no alternative to protest to topple the current government.
"The prime minister should resign to end the protracted crisis in the country. If he refuses to resign, NC will intensify protest," said Deuba. He remarked that his party was for holding election in mid-April.
Also on the occasion, Deuba blamed the UCPN (Maoist) for the failure to draft the constitution and added that the current crisis was also created by the party.
