‘Captive’ Slovak released

The Slovakian woman, who was reportedly held captive by some followers of “Buddha boy” Ram Bahadur Bomjan for the last three months, was released on Sunday.

Police identified her as Takac Zsuzsanna, known Marichi locally. After media started finding her whereabouts, she was released at Simara. One of Bomjan’s followers, Darshan Limbu, had accompanied her to a Simara hotel, where she was staying earlier.

When police had tried to reach out to Zsusanna on Monday, she tried to escape. Police later found that her visa had already expired. “We found out that her visa had expired eight months ago. We’ve handed her over to Immigration Department,” said SP Dansingh Bohara.
