Narayangadh-Mugling road stretch shut down over youth’s death
KATHMANDU, FEB 20 -
Hundreds of passengers and vehicles have been left stranded due to the strike in the Narayangadh-Mugling road section since Monday night.
Locals shut down the road section after one Rabin Gurung, 18, died after police clashed with youths collecting donations from the vehicles for Mahashivaratri festival.
Gurung died on Monday night while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
Locals have accused the police administration of brutally beating Gurung to death.
Hundreds of long and short route vehicles have been stranded along the road stretch due to the strike.
