Ford reloaded: More bang for the buck

Go Automobiles, the sole authorised distributor of Ford in Nepal, has introduced the new “reloaded” version of two of its popular cars, the Ford Figo and the Fiesta Classic. The company has added a number of new features to the Ford Figo EXI and the Fiesta Classic LXI and will be selling these models at the same prices.
“Ford has become a successful brand in Nepal. The newly introduced variants of these popular cars will certainly attract customers,” said Dipesh Shakya, sales manager at Go Ford. “We are expecting brisk sales as these machines possess superior features compared to their competitors and the prices have not been changed.”
The EXI variant of the Figo is a B-segment hatchback and is equipped with Duratec 1.2 l petrol engine. The car can produce a maximum power output of 70 bhp at 6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 nm at 4000 rpm. It has a five-speed manual transmission system. The car’s basic specifications are the same, however, the reloaded variant comes with alloy wheels, fog lamps, vinyl seat cover, door visor, floor mat, mud flaps, rear parking sensor and smart programmable keyless entry system. It also encompasses radio, CD, MP3 player along with Bluetooth interference.
Other features include MacPherson strut twist beam suspension, power steering, air conditioner and heater, power window, front disk and rear drum brakes. The car has a boot space of 248 l and ground clearance of 168 mm. It has a fuel tank with a capacity of 45 l.
Likewise, the other machine, the Ford Fiesta Classic, comes with a four-cylinder Duratec petrol engine. With a displacement of 1596 cc, the sedan can produce a
maximum power output of 11 bhp at 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 146 nm at 3400 rpm.
According to the company, the Fiesta Classic LXI is one of the most loved sedans available in the domestic market today. “The Fiesta Classic LXI is available at the price of a hatchback. Besides, its captivating looks and manoeuvrability have helped it to stand tall among sedans,” Shakya said.
While the car already had features like air conditioner, power windows and power steering, the new one has been furnished with other superior features like remote keyless entry with antitheft system, leather seats, alloy wheels, fog lamps, door visor, rear spoiler, mud flaps, floor mat and music system with Bluetooth interface.
According to Go Automobiles, the Ford Figo EXI costs Rs 1.99 million and the Fiesta Classic LXI has a price tag of Rs 2.45 million.
