CHITWAN, FEB 01 -

Norwegian Minister for Environment and International Development, Erik Solhelm has made an on-site inspection of the third division of Maoist combatants in Shaktikhor of Chitwan.

The Norwegian Minister had made the visit focusing on the issues of voluntary retirement of combatants including the investment by Norway government, informed Combatants Deputy Commander Udaya Bahadur Chalaune.

Minister Solhelm, who arrived in Chitwan by a special chopper, also held discussion with combatants.

The Norwegian government had provided financial assistance for various training and physical infrastructure development in the cantonments.RSS
