(0 Votes)

JAN 31 -

Protesting against price hike in petroleum products and load shedding, the District Youth Network of Dang called a strike on Tuesday. The daily life of the locals was severly affected since early morning as the transportation of the region was clogged.

The major market places like Ghorahi, Lamahe, Tulsipur and Bhaluwang have been completely shut. Educational institutions and industries were also closed by the protestors.

Cadres of the network have announced the padlocking of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Tuesday. Network's Chairman Bishnu Kumar Devkota said that they would continue the protest programme until the load shedding and price of petroleum were not minimised.

The cadres of the network had organised a torch-rally at Lamahi, Ghorahi and Tulsipur a day before the strike was called.
