Gajurel terms war-era land dealing ‘only good decision’ of govt
KATHMANDU, JAN 29 -
UCPN (Maoist) Secretary CP Gajurel said that legalising the war-era land transaction was the ‘only good decision’ made by the Baburam Bhattarai-led government. He also ruled out the possibility of scrapping the decision made by the parallel administration of the Maoist during the decade-long conflict.
Speaking at the Reporters Club in the Capital on Saturday, Gajurel said, “The government will be worthless if it scraps the only good decision that it has made so far.” Gajurel further remarked that the Madhes-based political parties would continue their support to the present government.
Saying that it was against rule of law to demand the decision which was pending at the Supreme Court (SC), Gajurel clarified that his party would abide by the verdict of the SC on the decision.
“Government’s decision will not be rolled back, we will accept the decision of the SC,” he said.
