Neoteric Nepal has launched two new Nokia Asha series phones, the Asha 200 and the Asha 300 in Nepal. The Nokia Asha is a new family of smart mobile phones that signifies Nokia’s mission to deliver high quality, stylish devices for accessing social networks, internet and information. Nokia has unveiled the Asha line-up, a spate of lower-end devices that run Series 40 and blur the line between feature phone and smart phone. The devices, named the 200, 201, 300 and 303, are all designed to encourage the “next billion” users to access the web, and seem directed toward emerging markets.

Nokia Asha 300

The beautifully designed Nokia Asha 300 is a touch device which also offers the convenience of a keypad. It has a powerful 1 GHz processor and 3G to deliver a faster internet and social networking experience. The upgraded Nokia browser gives swipe access to applications, music or games from the Nokia Store. The Nokia browser allows for fast, affordable and localized internet access by compressing web pages by up to 90 percent.

The Nokia Asha 300 also arrives preloaded with the popular Angry Birds game. The handset features a 2.4 inch resistive touch display, a 5 mega pixel fixed focus snapper at the back and USB on-the-go support. It also features music player, FM radio, Bluetooth and memory card with a capacity of up to 32 GB. The phone is available in the market for Rs 10,370.

Nokia Asha 200

Nokia Asha 200 is a stylish QWERTY dual SIM phone with a 2.4 inch display. The phone has 2 mega pixel camera and offers connectivity features such as Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE. It comes with support for up to 32 GB memory that allows users to listen to thousands of songs for up to 52 hours. It has talk time of up to seven hours along with 36-hour standby time.

The Asha 200 is Nokia's latest dual SIM phone with easy swap functionality that allows users to easily change to their second SIM without switching the device off.  It also features integrated social networking, email and IM, adding RenRen, Orkut and Flickr support. The phone costs Rs 7,700 in the market.
