House session obstructed yet again
KATHMANDU, JAN 27 -
The main opposition parties—Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML—obstructed the Legislature-Parliament meet for the fifth consecutive time on Friday.
The opposition parties have been protesting against the government decision to provide legitimacy to the properties purchased, sold, and distributed by parallel government of the then rebel Maoists during the decade-long conflict. However, the Maoist-led government has been refusing to back down from its stand despite the opposition warning to continue their protests.
A meeting of the two oppositions at UML Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar today had decided to obstruct the House session until the government revoke its controversial decision.
