House panel meeting postponed
KATHMANDU, JAN 27 -
A meeting of the Legislature-Parliament's Committee on Natural Resources called for today was postponed due to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai's absence.
Committee's Chairperson Shanta Chaudhary said the meeting was called to discuss with the PM regarding the work plan to stop massive deforestation and over exploitation of mines in different parts of the country. Chaudhary said prime minister will be invited in the next meeting of the Committee
The meeting was put off after PM Bhattarai and Minister for Local Development Top Bahadur Rayamajhi remained absent.
PM Bhattarai, Minister for Local Development Rayamajhi, Minister for Industry Anil Kumar Jha, Minister for Environment Hemraj Tated and Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Mohammad Wakil Musalman were invited at the meeting to discuss various issues. RSS
