SIRAHA, JAN 26 -
An unidentified group opened fire at Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Siraha District Chairperson, Ram Charitra Saha on Wednesday night.
Saha, who received bullet injury on his body at around 1 PM, is being treated at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
The group opened fire while he was asleep at the home of Udaya Narayan Mahato in Asanpur-6, said Area Police Office, Golbazaar.
Though police declined to disclose the reason behind the shootout, locals suspected that an unidentified person might have opened fire at Saha taking up his illicit relation with a woman of the same house.
Earlier, locals had thrashed Saha at the home and warned him not to visit the house next time, said villagers.RSS
