TANAHU, JAN 06 - Prime Minister Baburam Bhattrai said that the current government would exist until the conclusion of peace and constitution writing processes. He claimed that only the current government has brought any significant progress in the peace process and the constitution drafting process.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Damauli, Bhattarai stressed that the responsibility of this government was to conclude the peace and constitution. Therefore, the government would not quit unless it has fulfilled the responsibility. "This government would remain until the conclusion of peace and constitution. I would not leave the works in limbo," he said.
He said that unlike the former governments, his government is actually supported by the people and other parties. "People have anticipated the completion of peace process and constitution drafting process from this government. We would do whatever we can to fulfil their dreams,” said PM Bhattarai.
He further added that even CPN-UML is not against the current government. Addressing the entrepreneurs, PM Bhattarai said that he has always stressed on the coordination of the private and governmental sectors. “Development is possible only with the cooperation of private and governmental sectors. We all need to focus on professional farming,” said Bhattarai.
