KATHMANDU, JAN 04 -

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has expressed his commitment to fulfill the 60-point charter of demands put-forth by the Maoist aligned All Nepal National Independent Students Union- Revolutionary (ANNISU-R).

In a meeting with the delegation led by ANNISU-R President Himal Sharma held at the prime minister’s office on Wednesday, Bhattarai directed his Political Advisor Devendra Paudel to form a ten member task force to fulfill the just demands of the students.

The task force will be comprised of five students associated with the ANNISU-R and joint secretaries of the Ministries of Finance, Labor, Transport Management, Education and Supplies, said Minister of Education Dinanath Sharma.

According to Sharma, an agreement has been made to issue a Ration Card Directory within one month. Ration cards will make it easier for students to get kerosene, gas, food grains and other daily consumer goods at subsidised rate. RSS
