Transport entrepreneurs stage sit-in at NOC
KATHMANDU, JAN 02 -
Transport entrepreneurs on Monday staged two hour sit-in at the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) in Babarmahal in the Capital demanding to ease the supply of petroleum products.
Entrepreneurs resort to protest against the acute fuel crisis in various parts of the country.
Long queues continue to be a common sight at major fuel stations in the Valley as efforts to ensure smooth supply of petroleum products continue to remain unsuccessful.
The current crisis is another in the chain of events that have seen the Valley suffering from an erratic supply of petroleum products.
Delay in the loan to be provided by the Employees Provident Fund and the Civil Servant Provident Fund to the NOC to ease the petroleum supply has further hit the entrepreneurs who have seen only 50 percent of their vehicles running on the road.
