KATHMANDU, JAN 01 -

A meeting of the Dispute Resolution Sub-Committee under the Constituent Assembly (CA) ended without making headway on Sunday.

It is understood that the meeting will be summoned only after the top leaders of the big three political parties—UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML—hold discussions on settling the unresolved issues of the constitution drafting process. The next meeting has been called for Monday morning.

On Saturday, the committee was given a two-day deadline to forge consensus on governing structure and the power sharing between the president and the prime minister to be adopted in the new constitution.
