SUNDARIJAL, DEC 31 -

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday claimed that peace and constitution would conclude within five months.

Addressing a program organised at BP Koirala Museum in Sundarijal today, Dahal urged the leaders of all the political parties to be sincere about the peace process and constitution drafting process. “We all have to be committed towards concluding the peace process and constitution within the allotted time. Everyone has to work for it,” said Dahal.

Stating that he and BP Koirala have similarities, Dahal said that both Koirala and he were impulsively thrown out of the premiership. Dahal further said that Koirala spent 10 years in jail and he spent 10 years in insurgency. Dahal claimed that Koirala has always been a source of inspiration to him.

Maoist Chairman Dahal accepted that he has been dragged into controversies for his emotional influxes and assured that he would now think before he speaks. “I have been dragged into controversies for some of my speeches, now I would speak as less as I can,” said Dahal.

Addressing the same program, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala said that the responsibility of concluding peace and constitution is on the shoulders of Dahal. “He [Dahal] has to take courageous steps to provide the people a constitution on time,” said Koirala.
