Fire kills 16 in Myanmar's main city of Yangon

MYANMAR, DEC 29 -
A warehouse fire that spread to neighboring houses has killed at least 16 people and injured 79 others in Myanmar's main city of Yangon.
Officials say the fire started in a state-owned warehouse before dawn Thursday and quickly spread to homes and buildings, many of them wooden.
A hospital official says the dead include at least one firefighter who was killed by an explosion at the warehouse when firefighters were putting out the flames.
Firefighters are continuing to search for bodies.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
