JANAKPURDHAM, DEC 29 -
Dhanusha district has been shut down today to protest the 10-days suspension of lawmaker Sanjay Kumar Saha.
All educational institutions, transport services, industries and shops in the district have been affected due to the shut down called by Madhes Kranti Forum (MKF)-Nepal.
The Committee also demanded to withdraw the decision of suspension saying the action, which was taken against lawmaker Saha, was discriminating.
Lawmaker Saha on December 22 had vandalized three mikes of the Constituent Assembly (CA) in a fit of anger for not being provided time to him to speak in the CA by Chairman of the CA, Subash Nembang.
According to Parliament Secretariat, property worth Rs. 300,000 was destroyed in the vandalism and the lawmaker has been suspended for ten days.
The Parliament Secretariat had also decided to recover the amount from the salary of lawmaker Saha. RSS
