Court soughts clarification from NEA

The Appellate Court Surkhet has sought written clarification for enforcing load shedding within 15 days from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The single bench of Chief Judge Govind Kumar Shrestha issued the order after holding the discussion on the petition filed Monday by advocate Tika Prasad Pokhrel demanding interim order against the illegal load shedding.
Pokhrel demanded orders of certiorari, prohibition and mandamus along with interim order with NEA Surkhet Branch, Branch Chief, NEA Kohalpur Sub-Station, Station Chief, NEA Attariya Grid Division, Division Chief, NEA Central Office, Ratnapark, Office Chief and NEA Central Board of Directors.
The writ of public interest had been filed saying the consumers were hit hard due to the curtailing of electricity at least six hours a day continuously from January last year in the district. RSS
