The Capital city on Saturday and Sunday saw lootings of property worth Rs 860,000.
An unidentified group broke into the Dhumbarahi-based house of Rajesh Bikram Shah on Sunday and made off with gold and diamond jewelleries, a watch, and some cash worth Rs 760,000.
Likewise, an unidentified man in a drunken state looted a gold earring weighing two tolas and worth Rs 100,000 of Pasang Lamhu Sherpa from his hotel at Kapan on Friday. On the same day, the same person along with his 30-year-old friend, Tamling Bhote, and another person had come to the hotel in the evening and got drunk, police said. The Metropolitan Police Range Kapan arrested Tamling Bhote on Sunday for an inquiry.
