Doctors ‘beat up’ attendants
KASKI, DEC 25 -
Following a dispute triggered by a patient’s death at Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital, doctors allegedly beat attendants here on Saturday.
The victims claimed seven of them were injured in the incident. The nasty scuffle ensued between the medicos and the attendants after 48-year-old Rudranath Baral of Pumdibhumdi-4 died at the hospital. The hospital pronounced him dead one hour after he was taken to the hospital. However, Dr Rishi Sherchan claimed Baral died before he was taken to the hospital. The injured, including Baral’s son, said the doctors hired the medical students to thrash them. The hospital management, however, denied any wrong doing.
