Discharged PLA protest govt, Maoist leadership
NEPALGUNJ, DEC 25 - The discharged PLA combatants of the UCPN (Maoist) staged demonstration in Nepalgunj in Banke district on Sunday, protesting the party leadership and the government.
They also criticised United Nations Mission in Nepal for labeling them with "disqualified tag". Some 200 discharged PLA men took out a rally that later converged into a corner meet at Dhambojhichowk of the district.
The protesters heavily criticised the party leadership for not addressing their demands. They also warned to raise arms if the party neglected them.
The disqualified former fighters also demanded the leadership make public the detailed expenditure of the camps.
The district leaders of Maoist hard-line faction led by Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya also took part in the protest rally.
