The tansportation in Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Ramechhap has been brought to a complete halt after a bus driver was thrashed by locals at Gairimudi of Dolakha district.
Passengers of these routes have been widely affected as UCPN (Maoist) affiliated All Nepal Workers Union (ANWH) called on a strike protesting against the beating. Bus driver Ramkaji Dahal driving the bus (BA 2 Kha 1287) of Arnniko Transportation Committee is now under treatment at BNB Hospital.
ANWH have said that the transportation would not be reinstated unless the guilty are caught.
ANWH Central Member Deepak KC said that the strike would be taken to a severe level if the guilty are not caught within Friday evening.
