CHITWAN, DEC 23 -

Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the differences in opinion that are not settled in the Central Committee meeting would be forwarded to the general convention.

Dahal who arrived in Chitwan this morning to inaugurate the 38th Convention of Nepal Jaycees urged the party cadres to be confident and work for the party, reaffirming that the Maoist would not split at any cost.

He said he would present a paper in the Central Committee (CC) meeting where open discussion for writing constitution and taking the peace process to its logical conclusion will be held.

According to a member who participated in the meeting, the controversial issues that are not settled by CC meeting would be settled by the general convention of the party.

"Be confident that an environment for unity in the party would be created," the member said quoting his party chairman.

Dahal also urged the party cadres to be confident and not to believe the rumors doing rounds in the market about the split in the party, saying the army integration would be concluded in a respectable way.

Chairman Dahal said there was no alternative to the current government for the next six months and this government will conclude the remaining tasks of peace and constitution writing process.

The Nepali Congress will take up the leadership after the promulgation of the new constitution, he added. RSS
