Prime Minster Baburam Bhattarai has claimed that his government would conclude the processes of peace and constitution writing within the extended deadline of the Constituent Assembly—May 30, 2012.
Inaugurating the ‘12th Industrial Expo, Agriculture and Tourism Festival’ in Butuwal on Thursday, the prime minister claimed that the remaining tasks in the peace and statute-drafting processes would be accomplished, facing the obstacles and challenges like his government had in the past.
Saying that logical conclusion of peace and statute-drafting processes would be a historic achievement, PM Bhattarai noted that the remaining tasks in those processes were being carried out in a full-swing.
Underscoring the need for economic revolution to end the current transitional period, Bhattarai assured that he was equally critical in terms of economic development as well.
“In order to institutionalise the political achievement, economic prosperity, inclusive development and fruitful outcome are essential,” he said. “I have already taken initiatives for the same.”
