Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala said debate between senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel of her party has led to the possibility of propping up a third prime ministerial candidate in the party.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union in Itahari of Sunsari district, today, NC leader Koirala claimed that she could be the third candidate for the post of prime minister for the national consensus government.
She said she has been inspired by the senior leaders' debate for prime minister and thought of herself to be the third candidate in the NC.
Koirala said the present government could not maintain peace and security in the nation, as a result, NC cadre Shiva Paudel was killed while he was in prison, alleging the Home Minister of failing to give security and called for his immediate resignation.
On a different note, NC leader Koirala termed the government's decision to recruit Madhesi people against the rules and regulations of Nepal Army was faulty and stressed for the withdrawal of the decision. She said if the Nepalese youth were recruited in the basis of ethnicity and geography; it will invite disorder in the NA. RSS
