KATHMANDU, DEC 22 -
The UCPN (Maoist) combatants close to Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya have decided to meet party Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal to express their dissatisfaction towards the integration process in the Nepal Army (NA), on Thursday.
Maoist central member Maheshwor Dahal informed that the meeting will take place at 4 this afternoon. A team of Maoist combatants led by Vice Commander of Third Division Udaya Chalaune is scheduled to meet the Maoist chair to put forth their dissatisfaction regarding the integration process.
Chalaune and the other combatants close to Baidya faction have been alleging that the integration of the combatants in the NA was an act of surrender.
Saying that the integration of the Maoist combatants were not carried out in a respectful manner, Vice Chairman Baidya along with General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa had urged the combatants to opt for voluntary retirement rather than going for integration.
