TAPLEJUNG, DEC 19 - An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was felt in Taplejung district at 3:20 this morning.
The epicentre of the quake was believed to be near Mt. Kanchanjunga in the district.
This is the second quake of small magnitude felt in the district since Sep 18.
An official at National Seismological Center said that a 4.9 magnitude earthquake had hit the district in the night of Dec 15.
However, there was no casualty in the quake.
