PARBAT, DEC 12 - A man was beaten to death by his wife and three sons at Arthar VDC-8 in Parbat district.
The victim, identified as Krishna Bahadur Sunar, 55, was murdered by his wife Indrakumari and sons Ramu, Kashiram and Kumar on December 5, police said.
The police carried out an investigation into the incident after the victim’s brother Chandra Bahadur Sunar filed a report on the same.
According to the police, wife Indrakumari and her three sons beat up Krishna to death after the victim burnt his cattle shed nearby the house.
Although the family members had informed police that Krishna consumed poison and died while undergoing treatment in Pokhara, the bruises and wounds on the victim’s body revealed that he was beaten to death, DSP Surendra Gurung said.
Organising a press meet on Monday, DSP Gurung informed that Krishna sustained injuries on his lips, his eyes were swollen and there were blue marks all over his body.
However, police said they have been carrying out further investigation and recording the statements of the accused. Meanwhile, one of the arrestees has reportedly told the police that they murdered Krishna as he used to get drunk and beat his wife.
